A Dream About Weather

A week ago, I had a dream that appeared to be about weather. I say appeared to be because that would be a literal interpretation. I think there is also another interpretation that I will describe.

In the dream, I saw a large map. First, my attention was focused on England and surrounding area. A voice said the weather would gradually worsen. My attention was then drawn to the United States. I saw a mixture of colors that were reddish (closer to lavender) in a band extending from north to south in an area that appeared to be around the middle of the country. The band seemed to be moving east. I think there was another band of some type by the West Coast, but I did not focus on it. My attention then focused on the East Coast and a band of green that extended from Maine to the tip of Florida.

If you look up the color codes for weather advisories, there are several possibilities. The reddish colors I saw in the middle of the country seemed closest to the code for extreme wind. And the green band that covered the East Coast would signify a flood warning. Flood effects of climate change are already being felt in areas like Miami Beach.

If we discount the literal interpretation, then we have to think about the possible symbolic meaning of storms and weather related events. England is certainly experiencing some political turmoil due to BREXIT, which appears to be spreading to Ireland. The United States is also experiencing political turmoil due to Donald Trump’s election as President and early decisions. However, I am having some difficulty understanding the color bands and their locations in that context. While the East Coast may represent a different political and economic climate than the middle parts of the US, Donald Trump did receive support in some key East Coast states.

There is a third possibility that the dream relates to my internal states, but I cannot make sense out of the dream in this context.

I think the meaning of the dream will become clear in time. My current feeling is that it is a literal preview of future effects of climate change. I believe the weather will worsen as indicated in some earlier dreams and we will begin to see flooding along the East Coast and violent wind storms in the mid-sections of the country.

Update on Dreams about the Economy and Stock Market

This is my first post since the election. I did not post anything ahead of the election because there is little to say when there are only two possible outcomes. I would have a hard time claiming precognition. In fact, I did not have any dreams about the outcome, but I did see the result while meditating.

Today, I think an update is needed concerning my earlier dreams about the job situation and stock market. Fears by many of a stock market crash prior to the election seem to have subsided, and now there is enormous enthusiasm among investors for President-elect Donald Trump’s plans. The stock market surged after the election and is still rising with many people expecting a new period of growth. This may happen, but the current gains in the stock market are not due to improvements in companies’ earnings. The gains are due to expectations for next year. 

If the expectations for the economy fail to materialize, those same people piling into the market may quickly exit, which could result in a market crash. So I am saying that the evidence is not in yet to say that a crash has been avoided. In fact, the conditions may have been created for a crash to occur.

My earlier dream in which a voice said the stock market would crash did not give a timetable for this event. My subconscious could have been tuned into events a year or more in the future. The future for jobs in this country will most likely be interrelated with events that affect the stock market.

It is possible that Donald Trump’s unexpected victory changed the probable future, which included a stock market crash, into a better future. However, it is equally possible that his election ensured a horrific downturn. Sometimes, the market will surge right before a major downturn, so the current activity does not mean all risk is gone. I wish I could say my dream was wrong and meant something else, but while meditating I do not see the stock market reaching 50,000 or even 30,000 in the Dow, as some are predicting. I see a collapse. 

Maybe I am seeing this because of my earlier dreams about the stock market. Perhaps my conscious mind does not want to accept that my dream was wrong (or wrongly interpreted), so it is showing me a dire outcome. 

I would be more likely to accept this explanation if it were not for my visions before the election. My conscious mind was quite certain the Hillary Clinton would win; there seemed to be little doubt. But as I entered into meditation, I was shown just the opposite. I could not shake the vision of a Donald Trump victory. 

Now I can’t shake my dire vision for the stock market. This does not mean that the stock market will change course tomorrow. The Dow may reach the 20,000 mark, and even far beyond. But next year might be a completely different story. And, of course, some event completely beyond the government's control may trigger a crash.

I continue to monitor my dreams and am hopeful that I will have a dream about the economy and stock market by early next year. Any dream or dreams will be posted on my blog and website.

A Dream about a Health Problem

In my latest book, The Inner Guru: Dreams Reveal Your Future, I describe a brief dream in which an angelic presence came to me and said George (not his real name) has a serious heart problem. After the dream, I asked a relative about the condition of George’s heart and I was told his heart was fine. The relative was not aware of any issues with his heart. 

Now, several months later, this same person told me that George recently went to a surgical office for a simple procedure unrelated to his heart and was immediately sent to see a heart specialist. He has a serious problem with his heart. I should add here that I did not take any direct action after the dream because George was already under a doctor's care, and I thought that George just wasn't sharing information about his condition.

The subconscious is constantly monitoring your health and through telepathy receiving information about the health of family and friends. This is one of the important benefits of interpreting your dreams. You can discover incipient health problems before they become critical and potentially beyond treatment.

Some people are afraid of what they may see in a dream, so they block out their dreams. They don't want to hear about anything related to dreams. Of course, this does not change anything; it simply means that an early warning is no longer available and when the problem is finally discovered, it may be too late to treat it.

The Real Power of Dreams

Many people would like to know the following: How can I get rich fast or how can I find the perfect job or partner? So when they hear that dreams can provide guidance for their lives, these are often the first questions that they ask.

I do not promise instant riches or an easy path to the ideal job or partner. I do not have answers for those with the fast-food mentality. However, I do have answers for those both willing to change and willing do some work.

I spend considerable effort in my books and posts to show someone the operation and value of dream guidance through numerous examples. I provide a path forward to help you unlock the power of your dreams. My focus is spiritual in nature, but financial help and the road to a better job or the right partner may be provided to someone with those concerns. However, the answers often require time to materialize, and the seeker must do the work required to understand and apply the guidance from his or her dreams. And sometimes the guidance may take the seeker in a completely unexpected direction.

Answers for our problems are usually not hidden; they are hidden to us because we have blind spots and often cannot see what is right in front of us. The dreams occur to remind us of what we are overlooking and help focus our attention.

The person seeking the right partner may already know the person but just never looked at the person in that way before. And the right job may also be close by, but may involve a different way of looking at a particular opportunity.

However, sometimes great effort is required to get a better job. If the job seeker needs more education, that may be the message in one or more dreams. The education process may take several years, so results are not instantaneous. But without the effort, in several years the person will still wonder why he or she can't get a better job.

I think everyone would like to be warned of an impending natural disaster like an earthquake or flood. And a disaster such as a crash in the stock market may be equally important to many. Dreams can and do provide such warnings, but dreams of this type represent a small percentage of all your dreams.

Edgar Cayce is often depicted as a twentieth-century prophet with the focus on his predictions of "earth changes." Those readings actually represent a small percentage, or less than .15 percent, of his more than 14,000 readings (see Contemporary Cayce by Kevin J. Todeschi and Henry Reed). Thousands of people benefited from his heath readings, and in some cases, their lives were saved by the readings. Helping people was the real focus of the readings.

Likewise, your dreams occur for your benefit. The real focus of your dreams is the restoration of your wholeness, so dreams of "earth changes" are likely to be small in number. Do not only focus on the few dramatic dreams of this type and assume everything else is fine. The real power of your dreams is found in guidance for your daily concerns, often dealing with issues of not much importance to others.

The daily guidance from your dreams tries to keep your life in balance and help you recognize and focus on worthy activities. The guidance helps keep your life growing and evolving in a positive way so you can fulfill your soul’s destiny.

A Dream about a Stock Market Crash

I dreamed I was looking at a structure that appeared to be a prism of some kind. Through a window, I could see information displayed. A voice said, “The stock market will crash.” A noise emanated from the prism as some kind of processing seemed to be taking place. Then an image came into focus through the window with the number 2005, which I understood to be the year 2005. The dream continued with a personal message for me and then abruptly ended.

I have waited over two weeks to post this because I wanted to reflect on it and see if I received any related dreams. I don’t know if this dream is literal, so I am not predicting a stock market crash. However, an inflated stock market with numerous warning signs suggests that a crash could certainly occur in the not too distant future. This dream coupled with the warning dream I had late last year posted on January 5, 2016, suggests to me the need for real caution.

I have thought about what the number 2005 might represent in the dream. One possibility, since the year 2005 displayed after the message, is that the market would return to 2005 levels, which could happen in a crash.

Many financial experts are now expressing concern about the level of the stock market given a sluggish economy and poor earnings. And events around the world have only added to the risk. If you are invested and concerned, you should speak to a financial adviser. There are ways to minimize risk even if you stay invested.

In the post on January 5, I mentioned a second dream concerning the unemployment rate. I saw it bottoming and then starting a steep rise. If we are at the bottom and my dream is literal, then we should start to see an increase in the unemployment rate. Actually, last month there was a slight increase, despite the good job numbers. I thought it would start to move higher earlier in the year, which didn’t happen. However, that was speculation on my part; no timetable was given in the dream.

From time to time, like now, I post dreams that I think might possibly be about events that could be broader in scope than about my family and me. Unfortunately, a crash in the stock market will not just affect those with investments; the broader economy could be severely degraded with resulting job losses as people pull back on spending.

I hope that my dream is not literal. I don’t want to see the economic chaos that would result with the associated pain many would feel, including family and friends. However, I fear that the world’s hunger for debt has created a situation from which there may be no escape.
